Tennessee’s Dynadaux Redneck Girl — a registered, 2-year-old miniature smooth dachshund nicknamed Bellamy after the Bellamy Brothers who recorded the song, “Redneck Girl” — doesn’t expect to win at Westminster, but is happy to be there.
Unfortunately, miniature dachshunds don’t win the breed over standard dachshunds.
“We did get an Award of Merit there the last time,” her breeder Donnie Breaun told the Murfreesboro Post, adding, “Our dogs were the No. 1 miniature pulled at Westminster. The judge chose them for the Award of Merit.”
