This is Henry sleeping in his favorite spot on the dashboard of his owner’s truck, a 2006 Freightliner Century Class. It’s probably safer than the last round of “wiener dogs at the wheel” videos but no one’s going to pass driver’s ed here.

    Please, please, please don’t post videos of dogs riding on the dashboards of *moving* cars. Yes, they look cute but a collision, or even a sudden stop, could easily result in death or serious injury for the dog. Even human passengers are at risk since an unrestrained dog becomes a dangerous projectile in case of an accident. “An unrestrained 10-pound dog in a crash at 50 mph will exert 500 pounds of force on whatever it strikes.” http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2010-08-17-dogs-cars-drivers_N.htm And, as that article points out, there’s also the possibility that the cute little doggie will distract the driver, causing an accident.
