Confessed Dachshund killer sentenced to jail

The Grand Rapids Press reports:

While other kids his age are attending proms and learning to drive, confessed dog killer Jonathan Castelan will be spending his high school years in prison.

For the first time in the three months since Castelan, 15, used a hammer to fatally bludgeon an 8-pound dachshund named Pinto, the dog’s owners heard an apology from the teenage killer, sentenced to spend three to 20 years in prison.
