The New York Times reports on the four new breeds admited to competition at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show this year. And it also has the story of the prize-winning whippet who vanished from Kennedy International airport after Westminster 2006.
Let’s hope that nothing like that happens Paladin aka Ch. Diagram Have Gun Will Travel, who is travelling up from Florida for the show. According to the Miami Herald, he country’s No. 1 smooth dachshund.
Palladin is not yet 2 and will compete in the hound group of 346 dogs, 26 ”Smooths” among them.
”He’s very outgoing,” (his owner) said. ”He was born to show. He stood out from the others” in his litter of seven.
